Cody Layton of Bluebell was successful in filling his turkey tag opening day. It was a gorgeous morning. All was quiet when the first turkey let out his gobble. Cody and his dad were able to call in some turkeys just as the sun came up. Cody made a good shot and headed out of the field with his turkey over his shoulder. He would like to thank the private land owners for giving him permission to hunt on their land.
